Google Disabled Our Business Profile – We Need Your Help to Spread the Word!

11/11/2024 Update:
We’re happy to share that our appeal was successful, and Brown & Son Guns, Inc. has been reinstated on Google’s business directory. However, we’re still waiting for our customer reviews to return. Reviews are a crucial part of our visibility and credibility, so I’m hopeful they’ll reappear within the next 24 hours. I’ll be reaching out to contacts at NSSF and others to determine whether this was just a glitch or perhaps something more concerning, especially considering the challenges faced by Second Amendment-supporting businesses.

Original Post from 11/06/2024:

To all our valued customers,

I wanted to bring something important to your attention. At 1:14 PM today, Google disabled Brown & Son Guns, Inc. from their business directory. While we still appear in search results, being disabled from Google’s business directory means we’re no longer listed in the main local business listings that many people rely on to find us quickly. You’ll see Google’s message about this in the image above.

I’ve already filed an appeal, but since Google hasn’t provided specific reasons for the removal, it’s difficult to know if this decision will be reversed. This is especially frustrating because, as a business supporting the Second Amendment, we understand that sometimes extra scrutiny comes our way. It’s possible our success and commitment to serving the firearms community contributed to this action.

How You Can Help:

If you value your Second Amendment rights and have had a good experience with us, we would be grateful for your support in spreading the word. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Share Our Address and Phone Number:
    406 37th Ave S, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 | (843) 272-4867
  2. Direct People to Our Website:
www.brownguns.us – we update it regularly with our full inventory, so you can see what’s in stock anytime.
  3. Leave a Review on Other Platforms:
Reviews on sites like Yelp or Bing can help others find us and let them know we’re here.

We’re grateful for the continued support of our community and hopeful that Google will restore our listing soon. Until then, we’re counting on you—our customers and supporters of the Second Amendment—to help keep us connected to the community.

Thank you for standing with us,

Grant Brown
